About Dhari Devi Temple
Dhari Devi Temple is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Dhari Devi, associated with Goddess Kali. It stands on the banks of the Alaknanda River between Srinagar and Rudraprayag. The Pauri Garhwal district portal places the temple about 15 km from Srinagar.
Uttarakhand Tourism describes Dhari Devi as the guardian deity of Uttarakhand and protector of the Char Dhams. It also states that the upper half of the deity is worshipped here, while another part is at Kalimath, where the goddess is worshipped as a manifestation of Kali. These associations are part of the region’s religious tradition.
